- Wyoming uses a single standardized exemption certificate based on the SST form
- Exemption certificates must be renewed every three years in Wyoming
- Sellers must keep exemption certificates on file for at least three years
- The purchaser must provide their Wyoming Sales/Use Tax License Number on the exemption certificate
- For direct pay permits, businesses must apply separately and receive approval from the Department of Revenue
- Taxpayers can verify the validity of exemption certificates through the Wyoming Department of Revenue website
- Religious and charitable organizations must have a letter of authority from the Department of Revenue
