System Certs

Requires XMPT PRO or XMPT ENTERPRISE plan

When buyers create certs using the XMPT platform, those certs are automatically delivered to the Seller. If the Seller is using an integrated tax engine, the cert will be applied, and the appropriate reduction in taxes applied to the appropriate transaction(s).

If buyers suggest that they have delivered a cert to you from within the platform and you do not see it in your "Certs Received", you should ask the buyer to email you a copy of the cert. Upon receipt, you should confirm:

• The legal entity they used as the seller correct?
• Is the address they used for the seller correct?
• Is the date of the cert recent?

Certs that have been delivered using the system do not have an up arrow icon next to the Buyer on the Certs Received summary. For the picture below, the second, fourth, and fifth certs listed (for New York and Massachusetts) were generated using the platform.
